In accordance with ISO 9001:2000 & AS 9100 standards, CRI designs, manufactures, and integrates ruggedized or repackaged computers for demanding military, industrial, and commercial applications. Through our integrator / reseller partnerships with Silicon Graphics, Dell, HP, and SUN Microsystems, we provide high quality, rugged computing solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. We employ commercial off-the-shelf components and sub-components to create computing solutions that meet challenging environmental requirements. At our manufacturing facility near Austin, Texas, any commercial Intel-based system can be repackaged into a rugged workstation, and any commercial configuration of SUN, IBM, Compaq, HP, Dell, SGI, as well as Supermicro workstations can be repackaged into rugged models.
While repackaging a commercial system at the board level, we retain the performance, reliability, functionality, and supportability of the system. In addition to fully custom designs, we can modify existing designs to accommodate unique application requirements. For example, the R550i is CRI’s rugged rack mount workstation that is available in standard and custom designs with compatible displays and peripherals. We can build the R550i computer system with any ATX or eATX motherboard and corresponding single, dual, or quad core processors from Intel. We can further customize it with various isolated drive combinations and standard or custom power supplies for DC or 400 Hz operation.
CRI has deep experience and expertise in the design and build of rack-mount computers for a broad range of 1U, 2U, 3U, 4U, 5U, and 6U rugged applications. Our standard-model rugged computers are available with various configuration options that include up to two Xeon® processors, removable SCSI or SATA drive options, CD or RW/DVD, RAM up to 48 GB, programmable LCDs, on board graphics, flash drives, and custom drive configurations. These computers are also available in custom form factors / enclosures and can be designed to meet MIL-Spec, NEMA, as well as other customer-defined environmental / spatial specifications.
Skilled electrical and mechanical engineers use 3-D design tools, including AutoCAD and Solid Works, to accurately model new system structures and create component models from existing designs. Advanced CAD software is also used for designing custom interface PCBs.
We also offer after-sale support services to our customers, including spares inventory management, technical support, configuration control, end-of-life monitoring and life-time buys or technical refresh options. Our custom rugged computers are delivered with a 3-year parts and labor warranty.
