Using our “Concept to Completion” business model, CRI application engineers work with customers to create a full set of specifications for custom, rugged storage systems that will operate in severe environmental conditions while accommodating unique spatial requirements. We can custom design or modify rugged storage systems for a variety of IT systems from single-board computers (SBC) to supercomputers and peripherals.
Skilled configuration of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) OEM boards, hard disk drives (HDD), and solid-state drive technology (SSD) in storage system designs allows CRI products to deliver very high throughput across a variety of enclosure sizes. We design and build storage systems to support any commercially available Intel (single, dual, or quad core CPU) based c onfiguration. Extensive experience in integrating and modifying storage systems at the board level allows us to provide the necessary rigidity, isolation, cooling, and EMI/EMC protection for a variety of products, including all Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI) storage systems.
With plated steel or aluminum enclosures in mil-spec EMI compliant designs, our storage systems operate reliably even in the most severe shock and vibration environments. We use 3-D design tools including Solid Works and AutoCAD in designing enclosures for our storage systems. Our team of systems, electrical, mechanical, and test engineers has extensive experience in designing storage systems for use in military, aerospace, and oil service applications.
